About the event
STRIVE is a conference designed to help uplift the minority (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse & remote ATSI) women to find their groove in navigating areas of concern such as women’s safety; economic and social participation; leadership opportunities; and fostering their role in promoting community cohesion.
On the day we will explore the following areas
- Mental health awareness talks or exercises
- Lived experience presentations
- Navigating difficult or sensitive issues of Domestic and Family Violence
- Business forum/expo(women in business)
The plan is to have a culturally appropriate and inclusive workshop that addresses and navigates sensitive issues that women are facing in their day-to-day lives. The idea is to create an inclusive platform in which all women feel heard, free to express their opinions, and cared for as a lot is often left unsaid, because of history and or culture which has brought a serious negative impact on the lives of women from minority groups.
